Nvidia stock forecast: Can 200-day SMA support a rebound toward $210?
Nvidia eyes $210 after the sell-off

Nvidia remains under pressure as tighter China-related restrictions and election uncertainty weigh on tech sentiment. The next test is whether the stock can reclaim the 200-day SMA and recover toward $207–210.

The Financial Times reported that Nvidia has asked its cloud partners to ensure that at least 51% of their services are provided to customers outside China. The new requirements apply to future contracts and could further restrict Chinese companies’ access to computing capacity powered by U.S. AI chips.

The November 3 U.S. midterm elections add another source of volatility. Investors are concerned that a shift in the political balance could lead to tighter AI regulation and put additional pressure on technology stocks.

A recovery above 200-day SMA could bring $210 back into focus

Nvidia stock fully completed the scenario outlined previously. The price reached the $210 target, broke below the 200-day SMA near $204.50 and went on to test $200.92.

A rebound is possible today if the stock opens back above the 200-day SMA. In that case, the $207–210 zone becomes the recovery target.

Late-session and after-hours volatility remains a risk, however. Nvidia could still retest psychological support at $200, with a break below that level opening the way toward $195.

Election uncertainty keeps Nvidia stock volatility elevated

In the near term, Nvidia’s direction will depend on more than technical levels. Concerns over returns on AI investment, tighter China-related restrictions and the U.S. election outcome could all amplify price swings.

Even under these conditions, a short-term recovery would not rule out another round of selling. The stock’s reaction to the 200-day moving average will be crucial, as this level separates the two technical scenarios outlined above.
