Intel stock forecast: Can $55 support fuel a rebound toward $70?
Intel is showing early signs of stabilisation after a brutal sell-off, with insider buying adding support to the rebound case. Holding above $55 keeps the path toward $69–70 open, although the broader recovery still needs confirmation.
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has made a substantial purchase of the company’s stock. Based on the SEC filing, he purchased 150,000 stocks through a family trust on November 2 at an average cost of $64.73 per share, which translates to a total value of $9.71 million.
Nevertheless, the pressure on the stock is still tremendous. The price of Intel's stock has declined by more than 50% during the past month. This means that the value of the 9.9% holding of the U.S. government has dropped from $50 billion to $25 billion.

Holding above $55 keeps Intel's rebound scenario intact
Intel stock is showing the first signs of a potential rebound. As noted previously, the price needed to stabilize above $55 support and form a doji candle on relatively elevated trading volume before a recovery could begin. Both conditions have now been met.
RSI (14) is also in extremely oversold territory, providing another signal in favor of a potential bounce.
The main target zone for the next several days is resistance around $69–70.
A break below $55 followed by a sustained move under that level would invalidate the scenario. In that case, the risk of a further decline toward psychological support at $50 would rise sharply.
Technical rebound does not yet confirm a broader recovery
Despite the first technical signs of stabilization, the situation around Intel remains difficult. The magnitude of the post-earnings drop and the ongoing pressure on the semiconductor industry may restrain the upside.
It is positive that the CEO made the purchase of stocks, but this factor alone is not enough to change the trend. A sustainable recovery requires a higher level of buying interest.
