When I first started trading on the Bitvavo platform, everything seemed very convenient at first - the choice of trading pairs is really wide, there are both cryptocrypto and fiat currency pairs. This gives flexibility: for example, I often open positions in BTC/USD and ETH/EUR - handy when you can maneuver between crypto-currencies and the usual fiat zone.
But here's what slightly spoiled the impression: access to all features is only possible after passing the advanced AML verification. The process is quite meticulous: you have to upload not only your passport, but also additional documents such as proof of address, source of funds, etc. I understand that this is related to security and compliance, but I still feel that the process is overly complicated. I won't say it's critical, but for me it's become an unnecessary hurdle, especially in the beginning.

However, there's a nuance to consider: if you plan to work with fiduciary funds, only euros are available here. This can be awkward for those accustomed to trading in dollars or other currencies. Of course, it's not critical, but it does limit the flexibility of managing funds via these instruments. Otherwise, the conditions are fair enough, and the ability to start without a fixed entry threshold makes the platform accessible to a wide range of traders.

I liked the fact that Bitvavo's exchange terminal has not only the standard features for exchanging crypto-currencies, but also a built-in exchanger. This is really handy: you can quickly exchange assets without having to use third-party services. Everything is in one place, which saves time and simplifies the process, especially when you need to quickly transfer funds from one crypto-currency to another. But it's not without its nuances. The exchange rate in the exchanger isn't always the most favorable compared to what you can get on the market, and the choice of pairs is a little limited. This isn't critical, but if you want to trade frequently with minimal losses, it's best to check the market price.
