Vantage review: Premium Unlimited account offers enhanced margin flexibility
Vantage has announced the launch of a new type of trading account, Premium Unlimited, offering traders additional flexibility through the Unlimited Leverage mechanism – a leverage model without traditional limits. This new service is designed to help market participants more effectively utilize capital and manage positions during periods of heightened volatility.
According to the broker, Unlimited Leverage allows traders to maintain market exposure with margin requirements in line with the account terms and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
Features and benefits of unlimited leverage
The Unlimited Leverage mechanism allows margin requirements to be redistributed based on the market situation, which theoretically can reduce trading interruptions caused by insufficient margin warnings.
Vantage notes that the updated risk management architecture includes enhanced real-time capital scanning mechanisms and stop-out systems, designed to further protect traders' positions during high volatility.
How it works
To take advantage of Unlimited Leverage, users must:
1. Register or log in to their existing Vantage account.
2. Open a Premium Unlimited account or, in some regions, wait for automatic transfer from an existing Premium account to the new plan.
3. Deposit funds and begin trading, with the ability to use the new margin model according to the account terms.
For clients in some parts of the APAC region, existing Premium account holders may be automatically transferred to the new plan based on eligibility and local regulatory conditions. New account applications will be processed regionally.
A new leverage model changes trading conditions
This new approach to leverage could significantly impact traders' strategies, especially those operating during periods of high market uncertainty. Traditionally, leverage is limited by standard values (e.g., up to 2000:1 for some account categories), but Unlimited Leverage offers the redistribution of margin requirements based on current capital and market dynamics.
This update can be particularly significant for those using complex strategies, such as hedging or diversification, where traditional margin limits could create trading disruptions. Despite the potential benefits, traders need to remember the risks — higher flexibility without appropriate risk management can increase both losses and profits.
As previously covered, Vantage upgrades Premium accounts for MT4 and MT5.
