Bitfinex announced its Margin Lending feature, which allows users to lend their fiat or crypto assets to margin traders and potentially earn interest.
Bitfinex has introduced its Margin Lending (also referred to as Margin Funding) feature, a peer-to-peer marketplace where users can lend their idle fiat or cryptocurrency assets to margin traders. According to details provided by Bitfinex, lenders retain ownership of their assets, choose specific terms including amount, interest rate, and lending duration, and can earn daily interest credited around 01:30 AM UTC. The platform supports several rate structures, enforces collateral and automated liquidation processes to mitigate lender risk, and offers support for a range of currencies including BTC, ETH, and stablecoins. Bitfinex charges a percentage fee from earned interest, and additional tools such as historical rate charts and calculators are available for users.
To participate in Bitfinex Margin Lending, users need to have at least Intermediate-level account verification (for accounts created after March 1, 2022). Transfer eligible assets to the Funding Wallet, then navigate to the Margin Lending section to review market rates and offers. Select the amount, currency, rate type, and duration to submit a lending offer. For more details or to join, users can visit the official sign-up link.
