Gate.io has announced a new feature enabling users to mint its GUSD stablecoin on a 1:1 basis using either USDT or USDC. Users receive an estimated annual percentage rate (APR) of approximately 4.40%, distributed through daily auto-compounded rewards.

The minted GUSD may be used across multiple Gate.io products, including Launchpool participation, spot trading pairs, collateral for loans, and flexible wealth management options. Customers can redeem GUSD back to USDT or USDC through two redemption methods with varying fees and timelines, subject to maximum limits per user type. Gate.io states that it will publicly disclose proof of reserves for transparency.
