Bitfinex announced that trading fees for opening and closing margin positions are now 0%, with zero maker and taker fees applied automatically to eligible trades across spot markets; the only remaining cost is funding interest charged by lenders.
Bitfinex has introduced a zero-fee structure for margin trading, removing maker and taker fees on both the opening and closing of positions across spot markets. According to the official announcement and informational page, the only remaining cost for margin traders is the funding interest paid to lenders, as trades are financed through the platform's peer-to-peer funding market. The zero-fee policy is automatically applied to eligible margin trades, requires no additional action from clients, and is available to all users who meet verification and platform requirements.
