According to WhiteBIT's announcement, starting September 2, 2026, the exchange will introduce WebSocket Trading—a new API feature that enables users to send both market data requests and order-management instructions through a single persistent WebSocket connection. This streamlined approach is intended to reduce the need for separate HTTP requests for order actions, potentially lowering latency for algorithmic and latency-sensitive trading systems. The update targets users such as algorithmic traders, bot developers, and market makers who require efficient and unified data and order flow. WhiteBIT states that while latency between receiving market data and order submission may be reduced, execution remains dependent on factors such as validation, market conditions, and liquidity. The REST API will remain necessary for other functions, and users are directed to the platform’s public documentation for technical details.
