Binance has announced that its bStocks tokenized securities can now be used as margin collateral in all Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin accounts. This expansion applies to a wider range of users beyond previous limitations, but eligibility requirements have been introduced, including a suitability assessment for regular, VIP 1, and VIP 2 users before they can use bStocks as collateral or participate in bStocks margin trading. Risk control measures are in place for accounts using bStocks, such as restrictions on transfers and trading in certain asset types, pausing of auto top-ups, and limits on new positions in Portfolio Margin accounts if risk thresholds are exceeded. These measures are automatically lifted when accounts return to a safe risk level, and do not apply to VIP 3 and above users or accounts not using bStocks. High-liquidity assets remain unaffected by these restrictions.
