Gate.io has announced the opening of registration and team formation for the ninth season of its World Cup Trading Competition (WCTC S9). The event features a team-based competition with over 50,000 traders and 5,663 teams already registered, and offers a team competition prize pool of up to 3,200,000 USDT, with the overall event prize pool able to reach as high as 6,000,000 USDT. Participants can trade various asset classes including spot, ETF, stocks, futures, event contracts, and TradFi CFDs. The competition includes multiple leaderboards, weighted trading volume metrics, and prize pool unlocking tiers based on the number of active participants. Community events run alongside the trading contest, and specific registration and competition dates have been set from October 9 to November 25, 2026.
