Ethereum price faces $2,200 risk as early holder activity and ETF outflows weigh
Ethereum remains under pressure as an early investor moves coins to Coinbase and ETF flows stay negative. The next test is whether $2,282 can hold before another liquidation wave pushes ETH toward $2,200.
A large early Ethereum investor has become active again after three years of inactivity. According to Arkham, wallet 0x6D30 transferred its entire balance of 2,119 ETH, worth roughly $4.99 million, to Coinbase.
The return of early-holder activity is adding another layer of caution at a time when ETH price action remains weak.
Institutional demand has yet to show a convincing recovery either. According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $21.4 million in net outflows on October 28. The pace of withdrawals is slowing, but the broader institutional tone remains negative.

Losing $2,282 could trigger another wave of long liquidations
Ethereum is now sitting at a critical point. As noted previously, a break below the October 24 low near $2,282 could trigger another wave of long liquidations.
In that scenario, the correction would likely accelerate toward $2,200, followed by the 200-day SMA near $2,160. That downside setup is already beginning to play out.
A move above $2,400 would invalidate the scenario. If ETH can reclaim that level, the technical picture would improve and the 50-day SMA near $2,550 would become the next target.
Warsh's mixed signals keep crypto market volatility elevated
As expected, the Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged at 3.75%–4.00% on October 28. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s comments, however, produced a mixed market reaction.
Some of his initial remarks were interpreted as relatively dovish after he acknowledged signs that financial conditions had tightened.
Later, his emphasis on still-elevated inflation and the need to preserve price stability added a more hawkish tone. That combination leaves risk assets, including Ethereum, exposed to continued volatility.
