Brokerages outline shared listings platform
As reported by CNBC, AGNT, the parent of eXp Realty and NextHome, is joining HomeServices of America, Keller Williams and Real REMAX Group to build an open national database for residential property listings. The group plans to offer a shared API and invite additional brokerages to participate, with members expected to submit new listings within one business day.Leo Pareja, chief executive of AGNT, says the aim is to create a broad database that gives buyers and sellers more reliable information and a fuller view of the market. The pilot also includes provisions for private listings aimed at high-profile clients, even as the broader effort seeks to expand visibility across the market.
The push comes as companies across residential real estate debate how widely listing information should be distributed. Pareja says the new database is not intended to replace existing Multiple Listing Services, but to work alongside them and strengthen the wider listings ecosystem.

We also noted the goal of improving supply-chain efficiency through easier access to verified data, without replacing existing approvals or certification requirements.
