EXMO review: Exchange delists EXM token for EEA users amid broader platform updates
EXM delisting under MiCA reshapes Exmo’s offering

Exmo, the UK-based cryptocurrency exchange, has removed support for its native token EXMO Coin (EXM) across the European Economic Area. The change took effect on July 23, 2025, and reflects compliance with the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation. The exchange disabled the EXM/USDC trading pair for EEA users and ended EXM deposits, Premium, Fixed Earn, dust conversion, and gift card services. EXM withdrawals remain available until August 23, after which users must convert tokens to USDC or transfer assets to a noncustodial wallet.

Earlier in 2025, Exmo reduced global EXM trading activity. The platform discontinued EXM/BTC, EXM/ETH, and EXM/USD pairs on January 27, leaving only EXM/USDT for non-EU users and EXM/USDC for EU users. Analysts note that the removal of EXM trading, staking and utility features may lower demand for the token and put pressure on its price, particularly within the EEA market.

Core exchange remains active for global traders

While EXM-related services are being phased out for European users, Exmo continues to operate as a full-scale cryptocurrency platform for global participants. The exchange lists more than 190 trading pairs and supports spot trading, margin trading at up to 20x leverage, and both crypto and fiat markets. Spot fees begin at 0.1% for maker and taker orders on crypto-to-crypto pairs. Fiat to crypto trades typically begin at 0.3%.

The platform supports deposits and withdrawals in multiple fiat currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, PLN and others. Exmo also offers a simple trade interface for beginners and a more advanced platform for experienced traders, along with cashback incentives and a referral program.

What these developments mean for users

For EEA users, the EXM delisting represents a material change and requires action before the August deadline to retain access to assets. For traders outside the region, Exmo continues to offer competitive fees, wide market access, and flexible funding options.A full breakdown of the exchange’s trading costs can be found in the EXMO spot trading fees explained review.
