Institut Pasteur de Madagascar begins MpOx trial enrollment with backing from Emergent Biosolutions — MpOx study begins in Madagascar

Emergent Biosolutions, together with PANTHER Health and Africa CDC, has initiated the MpOx Study in Africa (MOSA), with the first patient enrolled in Madagascar. The launch follows a recent declaration of an mpox outbreak in the country.

Institut Pasteur de Madagascar will lead the study to better understand the disease and inform potential response strategies. The partnership aims to accelerate research into mpox transmission and treatment options as the outbreak evolves. Details regarding the study's timeline and scope are still being clarified.
