Highlights

  • KC/USX trades below key moving averages, signaling persistent bearish pressure across all time frames.
  • Momentum and oscillator indicators show oversold and seller-dominated intraday conditions, confirming sustained negative sentiment.
  • Price closed at USX308.17 with high downside risk and a projected two-to-three-day range of USX293.8 to USX313.48.

Bearish momentum reinforced as indicators signal oversold conditions

On the technical front, KC/USX has closed below its MA-20 and MA-50 on the H1 chart and is also trading under the long-term MA-200, showing persistent downside momentum across all timeframes. The Ichimoku Kijun level at USX319.46 now acts as closest resistance for any potential recoveries. Among momentum indicators, MACD has delivered a Sell signal, while ADX remains Neutral, indicating limited directional strength. RSI, Stoch RSI, CCI, and Bull/Bear Power collectively reflect oversold or strongly seller-dominated conditions intraday, and the Awesome Oscillator further confirms the prevailing bearish bias.

Downside risk elevated as price hovers near projected range floor

Looking ahead over the next two to three sessions, Coffee is expected to trade within a typical volatility band of USX293.8 to USX313.48. The probability of an upward move is considered very low, with downside continuation rated as very high. The base case scenario anticipates extended range-bound activity; a bullish outcome would require a decisive break above immediate resistance, while renewed bearish momentum could unfold if price falls through support at the lower end of the projected range.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes that Coffee remains in a clear technical downtrend with all key moving averages acting as resistance. He highlights persistent bearish momentum on both indicators and price action, with little evidence of reversal. The absence of supportive news further weakens the outlook and adds to downside risk. "Unless we see a decisive break above USX319.46, I remain cautious and expect further pressure on prices."

Previously it was reported that coffee futures faced mixed technical signals but maintained an upside bias within a consolidating range. The latest analysis now highlights a shift toward sustained downside pressure, making the lower edge of the projected volatility band a critical level for traders to monitor in the near term.
