908 Devices deploys next generation MX908 for real time detection of novel psychoactive substances
908 Devices has introduced its MX908 device to help law enforcement and first responders combat the growing challenge posed by synthetic drugs, novel psychoactive substances, and opioids.
According to the company, the pace at which new drug threats are emerging is outstripping the capabilities of traditional detection tools. The MX908 is designed to provide rapid, on-site analysis, giving agencies a technological edge as they respond to an increasingly complex drug landscape.
The company previously showcased its chemical identification devices at the Joint CBRN Symposium to support advanced mission needs. In a separate initiative, 908 Devices introduced a virtual XplorIR demo for rapid hazmat detection. These efforts reflect the firm's ongoing focus on mission-ready detection technologies.
