Lineage Cell OpRegen trial results

Lineage Cell Therapeutics revealed new results from its 3-year Phase 1-2a clinical study of OpRegen (RG6501) in patients with geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

The findings, presented at the Retinal Therapeutics Innovation Summit 2026 on behalf of Roche and Genentech, included imaging data and suggest continued progress in regenerative therapies for advanced retinal disease.

Lineage Cell Therapeutics has expanded its focus within ophthalmic diseases in recent years. The company previously launched COR1 to address corneal endothelial diseases, targeting patients affected by FECD. The launch highlights Lineage's involvement in regenerative therapy programs for conditions affecting vision.
