Tyra starts Phase 2 cancer trial

Tyra Biosciences has announced the dosing of the first patient in its Phase 2 clinical trial for SURF303, assessing the investigational oral FGFR3-selective inhibitor dabogratinib in low grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

The once-daily oral therapy targets patients with LG-UTUC, a rare form of urinary tract cancer. This study marks a significant step in evaluating new treatment options for a patient group with limited therapies.

Tyra Biosciences has recently expanded its oncology pipeline. The company previously partnered with KUMedCenter to support the SURF302 clinical trial advancing bladder cancer research. The latest Phase 2 study adds to its ongoing efforts targeting rare urothelial cancers.
