Lindblad launches Arctic research teams

Lindblad Expeditions is dispatching six National Geographic Explorer-led research teams into some of the most remote regions of the Arctic this season.

These teams will be working across 11 voyages, undertaking studies focused on glacier transformation, Arctic plankton, microbes, biodiversity, and microplastics. The initiative highlights the growing importance of direct scientific observation and data gathering in understanding climate-driven changes in polar environments.

Lindblad Expeditions was recently named to the inaugural TIME100 Companies Industry Leaders list, recognizing its 60-year legacy in exploration. The company has also emphasized the contributions of women on its fleet and shoreside teams for Women in Maritime Day. These developments reflect Lindblad's ongoing engagement in both scientific and organizational initiatives.
