Rigel Pharmaceuticals secures rights to develop and market VEPPANU under new agreement — Rigel finalizes VEPPANU license deal

Rigel Pharmaceuticals announced the completion of a global license agreement to develop, manufacture, and commercialize VEPPANU, also known as vepdegestrant.

The agreement marks a significant expansion in Rigel Pharmaceuticals product development pipeline, granting the company worldwide rights for VEPPANU. Further financial or strategic details of the partnership were not disclosed. VEPPANU, a next-generation therapy, is expected to advance Rigel Pharmaceuticals presence in the pharmaceutical sector. Rigel Pharmaceuticals has continued to increase its focus on oncology, recently joining the ASCO Annual Meeting to discuss sector advancements at booth 33080, according to a company update published earlier. The company’s partner Kissei has also filed a new drug application in Japan for olutasidenib, targeting relapsed acute myeloid leukemia patients in a separate development. These steps reflect ongoing efforts to expand Rigel’s pipeline and global reach.
