Vuzix raises smart glasses privacy

Privacy debates are accelerating in step with the rapid adoption of smart glasses, according to Vuzix.

In a recent interview with WIRED, Matt Margolis, Vice President of Business Development at Vuzix, explained that greater public attention to privacy issues signals that wearable technology is moving beyond early adopters into broader markets. Margolis argues that robust privacy discussions reflect the maturing state of smart eyewear and its increasing integration into daily life.

Vuzix has recently increased its support for OEM partners by offering custom waveguide technologies and scalable manufacturing for faster production cycles, according to a company update. The firm also claims its M400 smart glasses can reduce user onboarding time to 90 minutes, compared to several hours for traditional systems, as described in a previous report. These initiatives come as the adoption of smart eyewear spreads into broader consumer and enterprise markets.
