WEBTOON Inc. brings Empress to streaming

WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. confirmed the live action adaptation of The Remarried Empress will premiere on November 4 via Hulu and DisneyPlus.

The announcement introduces the globally popular webtoon series to a broader audience, extending its reach through streaming platforms. Expectations are high for the adaptation to attract both existing fans and new viewers. Details about the cast and production team remain under wraps, while anticipation for the release continues to build.

WEBTOON Entertainment recently introduced updated comic formats for six top titles, including Swolemates and Love Bites, to drive reader engagement, according to a previous announcement (see article). Shares of WEBTOON Entertainment last traded at $9.63, rising 1.6% following the promotion of 'My Bias My Boss' across platforms (see article).
