Backblaze boosts Jamf integration

Backblaze announced an upgrade to its integration with Jamf, introducing more flexible Mac backup onboarding capabilities.

The update allows devices to be matched using known user data or dynamic user detection while maintaining all existing Jamf policies and scripts. The move aims to improve deployment options for enterprise Mac environments where device and user management flexibility is crucial.

Backblaze has previously enabled true silent install for its Computer Backup service, streamlining deployment for Mac administrators using Jamf and other management tools, according to a recent update focused on silent agent deployment. The company has also reported a rise in its drive failure rate to 1.73%, with most issues traced to older and specific Seagate models earlier this year. These developments reflect ongoing adjustments in Backblaze's product and operational approach.
