NVIDIA cloud partners expand sovereign AI infrastructure across Europe
European demand for compute located closer to data is accelerating investment in regional AI cloud infrastructure for training, inference and post-training workloads. The expansion spans Europe, the Nordics, Africa and Central Asia, as providers build NVIDIA-based capacity aimed at supporting safer AI agents and greater control over where workloads and data reside.
Highlights
- NVIDIA Cloud Partners are rapidly expanding AI compute capacity across Europe, Nordics, Africa, and Central Asia to meet rising sovereign compute demand.
- Nscale reports that NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS enables 37% more GPUs and 50% higher aggregate inference throughput within the same power budget using GB300 NVL72 systems.
- New and expanded NVIDIA-powered infrastructure, including Vera Rubin and Spectrum-X, supports regional AI sovereignty and tighter integration with local research and industry in Europe.
Regional buildout targets training and inference demand
As reported by NVIDIA Newsroom, NVIDIA Cloud Partners are expanding compute capacity across Europe, the Nordics, Africa and Central Asia to support developers building agentic and physical AI applications. The company says the push reflects rising demand from AI-native businesses for sovereign compute, customizable open models and secure full-stack infrastructure.According to NVIDIA, regional AI clouds are becoming a foundation for model builders, enterprises and industries that need large-scale computing close to local research, engineering talent, industrial expertise and data. The company frames that proximity as increasingly important for customers seeking more control over how AI is developed and deployed.
Nscale is using the NVIDIA DSX Platform to coordinate power allocation with workload requirements as AI factories scale and energy constraints tighten. In tests using NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems, Nscale says NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS enables 37% more GPUs and nearly 50% higher aggregate inference throughput within the same provisioned power budget.
Nscale also plans to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin infrastructure for frontier-model training and production workloads across five European markets. Crusoe is developing Spark, its liquid-cooled modular AI factories designed for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, to bring Crusoe Cloud capacity closer to users for lower-latency AI inference across EMEA customers including Base44, Gradium, LTX and Wonderful.
Capacity growth supports sovereign computing strategy
Aleria, Cassava Technologies, Firebird, G42, Radiant, SWI Compute and Vultr are also developing and expanding NVIDIA-powered AI infrastructure across the covered regions. NVIDIA says this capacity combines elements of its DSX AI Factory platform, including NVIDIA Vera Rubin, NVIDIA BlueField and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. The broader industry effect is a wider regional supply of AI infrastructure that can support sovereign computing services while giving customers more choice over data location and workload placement. For Europe in particular, the buildout links cloud capacity with local energy, research and industrial capabilities, which NVIDIA says can support new models, applications, organizations and jobs.
In our earlier coverage of how AI is reshaping competition for companies in Nigeria and beyond, we noted that the technology is raising the baseline for performance, making “average” operations and legacy business models less sustainable. The piece emphasized that firms increasingly need to reprioritize investment, skills, and decision-making to capture productivity gains from AI and avoid falling behind as adoption accelerates.
