Italy's Terna received regulatory approval for a new project to enhance the resilience of its electric grid in the Belluno province. The stock edges higher on the day, trading at €9.64.
The Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) has authorized a new strategic intervention to strengthen the resilience of the electricity grid in Fonzaso, in the province of Belluno. RSI at 63.7 is nearing overbought territory, an early sign the advance is getting stretched. The daily move remains within a broader bullish chart structure, as shares of Terna hold above the MA-20 and MA-50 but remain below the MA-200 at €9.79. This split daily setup highlights that while underlying momentum has been firm, upward progress is encountering technical resistance overhead.
A close above €9.79 would show buyers are willing to follow through on the recent move. RSI approaching overbought territory points to limited upside, suggesting the latest advance may be due for a pause or pullback. Even so, over the next five trading days, the probability of further gains stands at 78%, compared to a 22% chance of a downturn, with the expected trading range between €9.51 and €9.76. A drop below €9.38 would show the move is being faded. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays constructive.
Previously it was reported that Terna had begun installation of submarine cables to enhance electricity transmission between Calabria and Sicily. The latest regulatory approval for grid resilience investments in Belluno adds a new dimension to Terna’s infrastructure strategy, with the prevailing scenario now hinging on whether shares can sustain momentum above technical resistance levels.
