A new electric network connection is taking shape in San Gregorio di Catania, according to a post from TernaSpA. Giornale di Sicilia reported that the ongoing civil works are laying the groundwork for the installation of high-voltage cables between the primary substations of San Giovanni La Punta and Aci Castello. The current phase involves approximately 900 meters of construction after 1,500 meters completed in earlier phases, according to Meridionews.

Upside capped at weekly high as technical signals diverge

CCI at 94.6 is nearing overbought territory, which points to early signs that the recent advance could be getting stretched. Shares of Terna are currently positioned below the MA-200 but remain above the MA-20 and MA-50, reflecting a mixed daily structure. The nearest resistance is marked by the weekly high at €9.7, limiting further upside for now.

Further gains favored as upside probability leads near term

Traders should watch for a close above €9.7 to determine if buyers are ready to push higher. The recent climb has brought CCI close to an overbought reading, suggesting that any further gains may face increasing resistance. Even so, from here the probability of further upside over the next five trading days stands at 73%, while the downside probability is 27%, with an expected trading range between €9.45 and €9.72. A drop below €9.39 would show the move is being faded. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays firmly constructive.

Previously it was reported that Terna had received regulatory approval for new infrastructure projects to enhance grid resilience in the Belluno province. The latest progress in San Gregorio di Catania reinforces the company's ongoing rollout of strategic upgrades, with traders now monitoring a close above €9.7 as a key signal for potential further upside within the €9.45–€9.72 trading range.
