The sources said Reevemark will operate as a standalone business within PPHC's TrailRunner International group, and the founding partners have signed long-term contracts.Reevemark, founded in 2018 by Brandy Bergman, Hugh Burns, Paul Caminiti, Delia Cannan and Renee Soto, specializes in litigation communications, crisis work, M&A, restructuring and regulatory investigations. The firm employs 17 people in New York and has worked for leading litigation and shareholder activism law firms, while also representing Cornell University as it handles a major sexual assault case.
The purchase marks PPHC's second litigation communications deal in four months after its acquisition of London- and Milan-based Tancredi Intelligent Communication. Reevemark is ranked in Band One in the Chambers and Partners 2026 Litigation PR & Communications and Crisis PR & Communications guides, underscoring the niche's growing importance in strategic advisory work.
Sector consolidation and client reach
For PPHC, the deal expands offerings in litigation, regulatory support and crisis management, while giving its roughly 1,500 existing clients access to Reevemark's specialist expertise. Reevemark clients, in turn, gain access to PPHC's broader network in Washington DC, Texas, California, London and Milan.Strategic communications firms are drawing interest from private equity and other acquirers because buyers view them as high-growth businesses with steady cash flow and durable client relationships. That dynamic is helping drive consolidation across the sector.
Sard Verbinnen offers one example of that trend. The public relations firm was sold to private equity firm Golden Gate in 2016 and is now part of FGS, which is majority-owned by KKR.
