Tether expands USDt adoption with crypto wallet integration on Rumble
Tether and Rumble introduce crypto tips for content creators

The world’s largest stablecoin issuer, Tether, is expanding the use cases of USDt through its partnership with the video streaming platform Rumble.

On Wednesday, Tether and video platform Rumble announced the launch of a non-custodial crypto wallet for Rumble users, enabling them to send tips to content creators in digital currencies.

Initially, the wallet will support Tether’s U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin USDt, though support for additional cryptocurrencies may be introduced in the future. Fiat on- and off-ramps for Rumble wallet users will be provided by the payments platform MoonPay.

“Peer-to-peer payments powered by cryptocurrency are the future of the internet economy,” said Ivan Soto-Wright, CEO of crypto payments company MoonPay.

According to Cointelegraph, the integration of crypto tipping on Rumble encourages the use of cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange rather than for market speculation or as a store of value — roles that have come to dominate Bitcoin.

Silent competition between cryptocurrencies and stablecoins

Supporters of stablecoins argue that this type of token has solved the problem of mass crypto adoption, which Bitcoin has struggled to overcome due to limited transaction throughput and relatively high fees.

Critics, however, point out that stablecoins pegged to major fiat currencies — primarily the U.S. dollar — remain exposed to fiat inflation, centralization, and the risk of confiscation.

Founded in 2013, Rumble has become a notable player in the alternative video hosting market, with 78 million monthly active users. The platform is particularly popular in the United States and Canada and also has a significant audience in the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Australia.

Reportedly, the Tether–Rumble wallet launch was initially planned for December but was delayed to address issues in the code and user interface.
