Binance review: Plasma campaign launches with revised scoring rules
Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced a significant update to the point system on CreatorPad, its content rewards program on Binance Square. The changes, which will take effect starting with the upcoming Plasma (XPL) campaign, are designed to prioritize content quality and genuine community engagement over sheer posting volume.
The update reflects feedback from creators and users who have called for a more merit-based system that rewards insight and influence rather than activity alone. Binance said the revised framework aims to better capture “real mindshare” within the platform’s growing Web3-focused social ecosystem.
Shift toward quality and weighted engagement
Under the new rules, Binance will reduce post quantity and trading requirements, placing greater emphasis on semantic relevance and originality. In addition, the platform will introduce weighted rewards that account for meaningful interactions such as comments, shares, likes and total views. These engagement metrics will be adjusted by reputation weighting to discourage low-quality or automated activity.
Despite the changes, Binance said CreatorPad will remain merit-based and permissionless. However, only contributors who demonstrate genuine influence and engagement will qualify for rewards. The updated scoring system will be reflected in a new leaderboard scheduled to launch on January 23, 2026.
Plasma campaign offers 3.5 million XPL in rewards
Alongside the system update, Binance Square has launched a new CreatorPad campaign in partnership with Plasma (XPL), offering a total reward pool of 3,500,000 XPL token vouchers. The activity period runs from January 16 to February 12, 2026.
Verified users can earn points by completing tasks such as publishing original posts or articles about Plasma on Binance Square, following the project’s accounts, and trading at least $10 worth of XPL on Binance Spot, Futures or Convert. Eligible participants will be ranked on 30-day leaderboards, with 1,750,000 XPL allocated to the top 500 global creators and another 1,750,000 XPL reserved for the top 500 Chinese-language creators.
Rewards will be distributed proportionally based on points earned, with voucher payouts issued within 14 working days after the campaign ends.
Binance Square, formerly Binance Feed, serves as the exchange’s social content platform, connecting creators, traders and crypto enthusiasts with curated Web3 insights. By refining CreatorPad’s incentive structure, Binance is seeking to foster higher-quality discourse while maintaining transparency and fairness.
