The number of non-empty Chainlink (LINK) wallets on the Ethereum network has reached a record 900,000, increasing by more than 20,000 over the past month. Meanwhile, LINK remains under pressure, having lost about 49% of its value over the past year.

According to analytics platform Santiment, the increase in wallet addresses has occurred without any meaningful recovery in the token's price.

Analysts said this type of divergence typically signals long-term investor confidence, even as broader market sentiment remains weak.

Chainlink expands CCIP adoption

Santiment attributed the growth in wallet addresses to the expanding use of Chainlink's infrastructure across decentralized finance (DeFi), real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and cross-chain interoperability.

Recently, Aave selected Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to power transfers, deposits, and asset rebalancing in its mobile application.

Chainlink has also announced eight new CCIP integrations across four blockchain networks. New partners include Commertize, Mantle, Poppie Finance, and YuzuMoney.

Tokenization continues to support ecosystem growth

According to Chainlink, CCIP now supports 35 blockchains and powers 76 cross-chain tokens.

The value of tokenized assets using the protocol has increased by 36.5% over the past 30 days, reaching $330.2 million, according to project data.

At the same time, analysts continue to highlight the gap between Chainlink's growing ecosystem and the performance of the LINK token. In their view, the coming quarters will determine whether continued ecosystem expansion can provide stronger support for the cryptocurrency's price.

Meanwhile, tokenized assets continued to gain momentum across the broader market. According to RWA.xyz, trading volume in tokenized stocks rose 105% over the past month to $8.4 billion, while the segment's total market value climbed to $2.16 billion.

Earlier, Chainlink joined an initiative involving 47 banks across Europe and South Korea aimed at accelerating cross-border stablecoin payments.
