Highlights

  • PI/USD remains under bearish pressure, trading consistently below key moving averages across multiple timeframes.
  • Momentum indicators signal strong selling and oversold conditions, reinforcing downside risk amid heightened volatility.
  • The pair is expected to trade between $0.0851 and $0.0991, with a 68% probability favoring further declines unless immediate resistance breaks.

Negative momentum reinforced by multiple technical sell signals

PI is trading below the MA-20 at $0.096 and the MA-50 at $0.0945 on the H1 timeframe, with the daily MA-200 at $0.1623 remaining well above current levels. The Ichimoku Kijun level of $0.0946 is acting as immediate resistance. Momentum signals are firmly negative: both MACD and ADX confirm a prevailing sell bias, while the RSI sits at 35.87. Stoch RSI and CCI are both in the oversold range, indicating strongly oversold conditions. Bull/Bear Power reflects intraday seller dominance, and the Awesome Oscillator further supports the bearish momentum.

Sideways trade likely unless resistance or support is breached

In the short term, PI is expected to trade within a typical volatility band ranging from $0.0851 to $0.0991 over the next two to three sessions. There is a 68% probability of a decline and a 32% probability of an upward move during this period. Continued sideways trading within this range is the most likely scenario unless PI breaks above immediate resistance at $0.0946, which could shift momentum. Conversely, a move below $0.0851 support would likely trigger further bearish action.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, notes that PI is showing strong bearish momentum as technical signals remain negative. He observes that there is no supportive news flow and the token is trading well below key moving averages, with immediate resistance at $0.0946 holding firm. The probability of further decline is high unless immediate resistance is broken. "The absence of bullish catalysts and prevailing technical weakness suggest that PI is likely to consolidate or drift lower in the near term, unless we see a sharp reversal above $0.0946," says Karapetjanc.

Previously it was reported that Pi had shown signs of short-term bullish momentum, but with mixed signals and key resistance levels limiting further upside. The latest data confirms a shift to clear bearish momentum, so traders should watch for a potential downside breakout if the $0.0851 support level fails to hold.
