Bitcoin slips after another failed attempt to clear $65,000
Bitcoin

Bitcoin retreated after another unsuccessful attempt to establish a foothold above the $65,000 psychological barrier, reinforcing the level as the market's primary short-term resistance. The one-hour chart shows repeated rejection in the $64,800 to $65,000 area, followed by renewed selling that pushed BTC back toward $64,200.

Although the cryptocurrency continues to trade above the longer-term moving averages clustered around $63,700 to $63,900, the inability to secure a breakout suggests bullish momentum has weakened. Unless buyers reclaim $65,000, the risk remains skewed toward another test of $63,500 and potentially the recent lows near $62,500.

Macro uncertainty limits demand for risk assets

The latest pullback reflects more than technical resistance. Investors remain cautious ahead of upcoming U.S. economic releases that could reshape expectations for Federal Reserve policy. Markets continue to weigh resilient labor market conditions against gradually moderating inflation, leaving Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar sensitive to incoming data. Higher yields have repeatedly reduced demand for speculative assets, preventing Bitcoin from sustaining rallies even as institutional interest remains broadly constructive.

Eurozone data fail to provide additional support

Recent eurozone economic data have done little to improve the outlook for global risk assets. Economic growth has remained relatively resilient, while inflation continues to exceed the European Central Bank's target, reducing the likelihood of rapid monetary easing. Together with the Fed's cautious stance, the macro backdrop suggests that global liquidity conditions are unlikely to improve significantly in the near term, limiting upside across cryptocurrencies.

Geopolitical risks reinforce cautious positioning

Developments in the Middle East continue to add another layer of uncertainty for financial markets. Rising geopolitical tensions have supported energy prices at times, complicating the inflation outlook for major central banks and encouraging investors to remain selective toward higher-risk assets. While Bitcoin is often viewed as an alternative store of value over the longer term, periods of escalating geopolitical uncertainty have frequently triggered short-term profit taking as investors reduce overall portfolio risk.

As written in Bitcoin stalls near $64,000 as macro and geopolitical risks limit demand, until macroeconomic uncertainty eases and Bitcoin decisively breaks above $65,000, price action is likely to remain driven by selling into rallies rather than sustained upside momentum.
