Solana trades below 50-day SMA as low volume limits momentum
Solana continues to trade in a narrow range and remains below the 50-day SMA, while declining trading volumes are limiting buyers’ attempts to restore sustained upside momentum.
The Solana Foundation has detailed a new Transaction v1 format that increases the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. This gives developers more room for complex atomic transactions, including ZK proofs, multisig operations, and more sophisticated routing within DeFi applications.
The new format is also designed to simplify transaction processing for validators by making information about fees and required resources available earlier in the execution process. At the same time, Address Lookup Tables are being removed in v1, meaning developers, wallets, and RPC providers will need to adapt to the new structure.

$76.30 remains the key level for the next move
Solana remains below the 50-day SMA, with the price still unable to establish itself decisively above the indicator. The key level remains $76.30.
If buyers once again fail to break above $76.30 and hold there, the risk of a decline toward psychological support at $70 will increase.
On the other hand, a decisive move above the 50-day SMA could strengthen short-term momentum and open the way toward the $80–81.50 area. The 200-day SMA is also located within this zone, making it the next major resistance area.
A stronger directional move is still being constrained by noticeably lower trading volumes. Until broader market participation returns, SOL may continue to trade sideways between nearby support and resistance levels.
