Stablecoins drive Robinhood Chain TVL growth

Total value locked (TVL) in Robinhood Chain has surpassed $540 million, rising more than 45% since the beginning of August. Meanwhile, the share of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), which were positioned as one of the network’s key use cases, continued to decline.

According to The Block, the stablecoin market capitalization on Robinhood Chain has reached approximately $640 million. USDe has been the main driver of growth, with its supply on the network approaching $286 million.

RWA share falls to 6%

The value of tokenized RWAs on Robinhood Chain currently stands at around $32 million. The figure has increased 120% over the past month but has significantly lagged the network’s overall growth since launch.

On July 7, RWAs accounted for nearly one-third of the network’s total TVL. Their share has now fallen to around 6%. This means that since launch, the network’s total value locked has grown roughly seven times faster than the value of its tokenized assets.

The trend is notable given Robinhood’s strategy. The company presented tokenized stocks as one of the primary use cases for its blockchain infrastructure.

Instead of RWAs, stablecoins have played a significant role in the network’s growth. Their combined market capitalization has increased by more than 22% since the beginning of August, reaching approximately $640 million.

USDe accounts for around $286 million, nearly 50% more than at the start of the month. The asset now represents about 44% of the total stablecoin supply on Robinhood Chain.

Meanwhile, USDG supply remains in the $330 million–$350 million range. During the first week after the network’s launch, the asset dominated with a 92.7% share, but growth in its supply has since largely stalled.

Real-world asset tokenization continues to expand

Robinhood Chain’s growth comes amid continued expansion of the broader tokenization market. Crypto.com previously reported that the value of real-world assets locked in decentralized finance protocols had reached $3.9 billion.

The company also highlighted several other developments in the sector, including the integration of Crypto.com Pay into Dubai Duty Free and BlackRock’s launch of tokenized access to money market funds for European investors.

Dubai-based platform Shipfinex previously partnered with ADI Chain to tokenize approximately 35 vessels worth a combined $500 million. The project is designed to provide shipowners with additional ways to raise financing.
