Cardano holds 50 SMA as Dijkstra upgrade supports long-term outlook
Cardano is attempting to stabilize around the 50-day SMA after an extended decline. On the fundamental side, attention is shifting toward the network’s next major development phase, the planned Dijkstra era hard fork.
Intersect’s hard fork working group held another meeting focused on the Dijkstra era. Discussions centered on the phased rollout of the upgrade, changes to protocol parameters, ecosystem readiness, and greater node diversity. The group plans to continue meeting weekly until the upgrade framework is finalized.
The plan for now is to work on some infrastructure for Ouroboros Linear Leios, nested transactions and then move to Ouroboros Peras later. The Cardano team has some deadlines in mind. They need to test everything and get approval from the community first.

50-day SMA keeps the local rebound scenario intact
The scenario outlined earlier continues to play out. After declining toward the 50-day SMA, the price stabilized and formed a doji candle on the daily chart on relatively high volume.
This setup, following an extended decline, increases the probability of a local recovery. The base case for the coming days remains a rebound toward the $0.181–0.187 range.
What happens next will depend a lot on what the rest of the crypto market does. Even a strong buyer response around the 50-day SMA could quickly lose momentum if Bitcoin and Ethereum resume their declines.
Weak on-chain activity keeps ADA dependent on the broader market
The Cardano team is making progress on the Dijkstra upgrade, which is good for the long term but it has not led to more people using the network or more money moving in. The total value locked in the network is still around $65 million and daily DEX volume stands at just over $533,000.
So if Cardano goes up to $0.181–0.187 it is probably a technical bounce after a long decline rather than the start of a new upward trend.
