Payment trends and platform data
As reported by The Block, citing CoinsBee, payment data from the crypto gift card platform shows USDT, using the TRC-20 standard on TRON, has become the most-used onchain token and network payment option on the service.During the 90-day period from June 4 through September 1, 2026, USDT on TRON records about 1.8 times as many payments as Bitcoin and 1.9 times as many as Ethereum. Its share of all CoinsBee payments also rises to 16.23% in 2026 to date, from 9.92% in 2025, a 64% increase in share.
CoinsBee says the figures are based on successfully paid and delivered orders and compare completed payments by cryptocurrency and blockchain network rather than only transaction value. The company, which serves customers in more than 180 countries, lets users buy gift cards, payment cards, gaming credits and mobile top-ups from more than 5,000 brands with more than 200 cryptocurrencies.
Retail use case and spending impact
USDT on TRON also accounts for a large share of stablecoin spending on the platform. Over the same 90-day period, TRC-20 represents 44.6% of USDT payments on CoinsBee but 64.5% of USDT turnover, indicating higher average purchase values than on other networks supporting USDT.In the U.S., the most purchased brands using USDT on TRON include Amazon, Apple, AT&T, PlayStation, Uber, Macy's, T-Mobile, Walmart, Sephora and DoorDash. Those purchases span retail, mobile connectivity, gaming, transport and food delivery, pointing to broader consumer use of stablecoins beyond trading and investment.
CoinsBee and TRON DAO are now launching a joint campaign focused on using USDT on TRON for everyday purchases, extending a payments trend that the company says is strengthening across its platform.
Our earlier coverage of the Senate blocking the Clarity Act explained that U.S. regulators continued pushing ahead with crypto market oversight even without new legislation in place. We noted that SEC and CFTC actions can deliver short-term operational clarity for the industry, but the lack of a durable legal framework leaves rules vulnerable to challenges or reversal—an overhang that can slow broader adoption and longer-horizon investment decisions.
