Revenue outlook shifts after stock platform launch
As reported by The Block, StoneX raised its price target for Securitize to $18 from $12 on Monday, arguing that the launch of Securitize Stocks creates a significant new source of revenue for the company.Analyst Mark Palmer maintains a Buy rating on SECZ after last Thursday's debut of the platform. Shares fall 10% on Monday morning, leaving the new target about 45% above current levels.
Palmer says the market is still valuing Securitize largely as a tokenization vendor even though the business is evolving into a market operator. During Securitize's second-quarter earnings call in August, management says most tokenization revenue comes from integration fees, meaning only a limited share of its $5.3 billion in quarterly transaction volume is being monetized.
Trading fees add a new monetization path
The launch of Securitize Stocks changes that model by allowing the company to collect transaction and servicing fees, with potential collateral-related revenue also emerging later. That broadens Securitize's income base beyond setup and integration work tied to tokenization services.Last week's rollout brings stocks including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla onto Solana, with trades settling in USDC. The tokenized stocks are backed one-for-one by underlying shares and give holders dividend and shareholder rights.
StoneX projects revenue of nearly $120 million in 2027 and almost $200 million in 2028, implying roughly 65% annual growth. Palmer's $18 target is based on a 14.5-times enterprise-value-to-revenue multiple applied to the 2028 forecast.
