Multiliquid raises $8 million for tokenized asset settlement platform
Institutional demand for faster movement between tokenized assets and stablecoins is supporting fresh funding for infrastructure providers in digital markets. Multiliquid says it has raised $8 million across pre-seed and seed rounds to expand its protocol engineering, liquidity partnerships and integrations across Ethereum-compatible networks and Solana.
Highlights
- Multiliquid raised $8 million in combined pre-seed and seed rounds led by Polychain, with participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures.
- The platform enables instant, atomic conversion between tokenized assets and stablecoins on Ethereum and Solana, addressing institutional redemption lags and fragmented liquidity.
- Multiliquid earns basis-point fees on conversions, supports assets from managers like Wellington Management and VanEck, and will use funds to expand engineering, liquidity, and product integrations.
Funding structure and platform rollout
As first reported by The Block, the latest seed round is led by Polychain, with participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures. Multiliquid says the $8 million total includes both its pre-seed and seed financings, with the pre-seed raised between May and June 2025 and the seed completed between April and June 2026.Founder and CEO Will Beeson says the pre-seed is raised through a simple agreement for future equity, or SAFE, while the seed is structured as a priced equity round. He declines to disclose how the total is split between the two rounds, the company's valuation, or whether any investors receive board, observer or advisory positions, adding that Multiliquid has not constituted a board.
Founded last year, Multiliquid operates a settlement platform that allows institutions to convert tokenized assets into stablecoins, or back again, in a single atomic transaction. The platform is live on Ethereum and Solana.
Institutional use cases in tokenized markets
Beeson says tokenized assets may exist onchain while subscription and redemption processes still take several days, limiting institutions that need to rebalance reserves, meet margin calls or adjust investment strategies quickly. He argues that Multiliquid addresses multi-day redemption lags, fragmented liquidity and costly exit friction by automating net asset value-based conversions with simultaneous settlement on Ethereum or Solana.According to Beeson, the platform is designed for active treasury and collateral management rather than only for exiting tokenized investments into stablecoins. Multiliquid says it supports tokenized assets from managers including Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson and Fasanara, alongside stablecoins including USDC, and is targeting asset issuers, institutional treasuries, decentralized finance lending protocols and market makers.
Beeson says the platform is non-custodial and integrates with permissioned token standards that enforce transfer restrictions, identity verification and issuer-defined compliance rules at the settlement layer. Multiliquid says it generates revenue through basis-point fees on completed conversions and plans to use the new capital to expand engineering, add liquidity and trading venue partners, and integrate more tokenized cash and Treasury products across Ethereum Virtual Machine networks and Solana.
In our earlier article on the Q3 2026 cybersecurity funding rebound, we noted that total investment rose to $6.8 billion largely because of bigger late-stage rounds even as overall deal counts fell. We also highlighted how AI-driven and identity-security startups dominated fundraising, alongside a pickup in consolidation through large acquisitions.
