Highlights

  • IMX/USD trades well below short- and medium-term moving averages, signaling continued heavy selling pressure in the market.
  • Momentum indicators are strongly bearish, with MACD and ADX supporting sustained downside and multiple oscillators in deeply oversold conditions.
  • Expect price to consolidate between $0.14 and $0.1516 over the next 2 to 3 days, with further declines rated very likely unless $0.1526 resistance is broken.

Extended sell-off persists as technicals confirm bearish momentum

On the technical front, IMX/USD remains capped below the hourly MA-20 at $0.1513 and MA-50 at $0.1534, while holding just above the longer-term MA-200 at $0.1451. The Ichimoku Kijun line stands at $0.1526, forming immediate resistance. Momentum indicators are decisively negative: MACD and ADX both indicate sustained downward pressure intraday. RSI is extremely low at 26.6, with Stoch RSI and CCI both deep in oversold territory, suggesting the sell-off is extended. Bull/Bear Power highlights persistent seller dominance, while the Awesome Oscillator stays neutral, neither confirming nor countering the weakness. Price action includes a gap down at the open and continued trade near session lows with elevated volatility, and no clear bullish divergence has emerged.

Further declines likely as consolidation limits upside odds

Looking ahead, IMX/USD is likely to consolidate within the $0.14 to $0.1516 band over the next 2 to 3 trading days, in line with recent volatility patterns. The odds of an upward reversal are considered very low, while further weakness remains highly probable. If the price breaches immediate support at $0.14, additional downside could quickly follow, while a sustained break above $0.1526 resistance would be needed to trigger any material bullish scenario.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees IMX locked in a firm downtrend with technicals pointing to further weakness. He notes that all major momentum indicators are negative, and the price is pinned below key moving averages. There is no news to offset the prevailing bearish sentiment. "Unless IMX reclaims $0.1526, the outlook remains negative and I see no basis for a rebound at this stage."

Earlier, analysts noted that Immutable X was experiencing persistent bearish momentum with oversold conditions and an uncertain outlook. The current technical setup reinforces this view with additional signals of downside exhaustion, making the $0.14 level a critical threshold to monitor for a potential breakdown in the near term.
