Market pressure shapes treasury activity

Since the start of October, Strategy spends about $664 million on STRC preferred share buybacks, compared with $72.3 million used to buy 851 BTC. The latest pause in Bitcoin buying comes as the cryptocurrency falls toward $80,000 last week after reaching $84,777 on Wednesday, according to CoinGecko.

In premarket trading on Monday, Strategy's common stock, MSTR, falls 2.2% to $142.80, while STRC preferred shares edge down 0.01% to $99.35, according to Yahoo Finance. The move suggests the company is prioritizing balance sheet and capital structure management over expanding its Bitcoin treasury during the recent pullback.
