XRP price tests key support as Fed risk overshadows Ripple-BNY news
XRP is trying to extend its recovery, but buyers have yet to show enough conviction for a sustained move higher. Even positive developments around Ripple have done little to remove the uncertainty, which could intensify as soon as today.
Ripple has expanded its partnership with BNY, one of the world’s largest custodian banks. BNY now supports custody of XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin through its Digital Asset Custody platform.
The two companies are also exploring trade-finance tokenization, along with direct issuance and redemption of RLUSD through BNY’s infrastructure. The move broadens institutional access to digital assets, although it does not automatically translate into stronger demand for XRP itself.

A break below $1.25 could accelerate the next liquidation wave
Despite the formation of a double bottom, the risk of further downside remains elevated. As noted previously, XRP continues to hold above its long-term moving average, but selling pressure has not disappeared.
Macroeconomic and geopolitical risks could keep volatility elevated over the next several days.
If XRP fails to hold above $1.327, the next target would be the 200-day SMA near $1.281, followed by a test of $1.250. A break below that level could trigger another liquidation wave and accelerate the decline toward $1.184.
A move above $1.382 would invalidate this scenario. In that case, the next target would be resistance near $1.456.
Fed decision could overshadow Ripple's institutional progress
Today’s Federal Reserve decision could matter more for XRP in the short term than Ripple’s latest institutional announcements. Markets expect rates to remain unchanged, but the Fed’s guidance could quickly reshape expectations for the December meeting.
The reaction in the U.S. dollar and Treasury yields will be especially important. Sharp moves in either could have a direct impact on demand for risk assets, including XRP.
