Falcon Finance token drops 30% after Binance, Bybit listing
Falcon Finance governance token launch faces heavy selling pressure

On September 29, major crypto exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, Upbit, and MEXC, launched trading of Falcon Finance (FF), the governance token of the synthetic dollar protocol developed by DWF Labs.

The token initially attracted strong interest from investors and traders, surging 35%, but quickly reversed under heavy selling pressure. At the time of writing, FF was trading at $0.29, nearly 30% below its listing price.

According to CoinMarketCap, the decline was driven by profit-taking from an airdrop of 150 million tokens (1.5% of total supply) and the immediate circulation of 2.34 billion FF (23.4%) at launch, which exceeded initial demand.

DWF raises funds for larger projects

A week earlier, developers published a paper detailing the role of FF within Falcon Finance, complementing synthetic dollar stablecoins USDf and sUSDf. FF serves as the governance token of the ecosystem, supporting its growth and development.

DWF Labs offers investors staking with yields of up to 20% annually, depending on the quality and liquidity of their assets. FF holders receive enhanced staking conditions, reduced swap fees, voting rights, and other benefits.

Looking ahead, Falcon Finance announced plans to enable gold redemption in the UAE via FF, as well as develop mechanisms for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, private lending, and other financial tools aimed at boosting returns for both its stablecoins and FF token.
