Bitbuy review: Exchange launches Trade Markers to visualize trading history
Bitbuy visualizes trade history

Leading Canadian crypto exchange Bitbuy has unveiled a new feature called Trade Markers, a tool that transforms traditional transaction records into an interactive, visual experience. Designed to help traders understand and reflect on their decision-making, Trade Markers map every buy and sell directly onto price charts within the Bitbuy mobile app.

Instead of manually cross-referencing transaction logs and historical price movements, users can now see their entire trading history unfold visually. Each marker appears at the exact price and date of a trade, displaying whether it was a buy or sell, as well as aggregated information for periods with multiple transactions.

The feature aims to make the trading experience more intuitive and personal. “Your trading history is one of your most valuable assets,” Bitbuy stated in its announcement. “Trade Markers allow you to see your story, not just your data.”

How trade markers work

Available exclusively on the Bitbuy mobile app, the feature is simple to use: traders can open the price chart of any asset they’ve traded, choose a preferred timeframe (from one day to one month), and swipe across the chart to reveal their personalized Trade Markers.

Markers with single trades show detailed information, while numbered markers indicate multiple trades during a specific period, including average prices and time ranges. This format enables traders to quickly analyze their performance and better understand how their actions aligned with market trends.

Bitbuy designed Trade Markers to promote self-reflection and continuous learning. The tool helps traders recognize behavioral patterns—such as buying during downturns or selling prematurely—and use those insights to refine their strategies.

Enhancing trader insights and engagement

Beyond analytics, Trade Markers provide emotional and educational value by allowing users to relive their best trades and learn from missteps. By visually tracking market timing and decision patterns, traders can turn their past activity into a dynamic learning resource.

This innovation underscores Bitbuy’s broader commitment to empowering retail investors with accessible, data-driven tools. As the feature gains traction, Bitbuy’s emphasis on personalization could set a new standard for how traders interact with their portfolios and reflect on performance.
