Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, argues that USD/ILS remains under pronounced bearish technical pressure. He points out that the pair’s position below all key moving averages and persistent negative momentum signals confirm limited upside potential. Kharitonov is wary of the absence of supportive news, highlighting that the lack of positive sentiment or fresh catalysts exposes the market to further declines. He notes that short-term buyers appear insignificant and volatility suggests a risk of breakdown below the support zone. "I remain cautious — with no positive news flow and technical sell signals aligned, the risk of further downside in USD/ILS is substantial."
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, observes that although USD/ILS has slipped under major moving averages, the wide forecast range still offers attractive trading setups for nimble participants. He sees the current sideways action as an opportunity to position for a bullish breakout, particularly if momentum shifts. Karapetjanc believes short-term volatility may reward those watching for reversals or sharp rebounds near the lower boundary. "In my view, market participants should stay alert for upward momentum — a decisive move above ₪2.9978 could reignite the bullish structure and open the door to further growth."
Parshwa Turakhiya, analyst, notes that the recent slide in USD/ILS is mostly technical, with sellers clearly dominating. He sees sentiment as fragile, with momentum indicators pointing towards more short-term weakness, but wide intraday swings signalling tradeable volatility. Turakhiya suggests tactical traders could capitalize on oversold bounces or quick breakdowns around key levels. "With sentiment weak and technicals tilted lower, my focus is on short-term setups at the range extremes — nimble responses will be key in this choppy environment."

Bearish momentum confirmed as indicators align below moving averages

USD/ILS is trading below the 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages (₪3.0126, ₪3.0147, ₪3.0342), highlighting sustained pressure from sellers across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. The near-term ceiling is set at ₪2.9729 and the floor at ₪2.9446, with distant overhead levels confirming the prevailing bearish structure. Momentum signals are mostly negative, as both the MACD and Average Directional Index (ADX) indicate selling pressure. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) reads 45.2805 with a sell forecast, suggesting the pair is trading away from overbought conditions, while the Stochastic RSI is neutral. The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) also signals a sell, highlighting continued lack of bullish reversal conditions. Bull/Bear Power (BBP) remains marginally positive, indicating buyers have fleeting dominance, but the overall picture is still weighted toward sellers. The daily move saw a downside gap of around ₪0.0047 (about 0.16%), with the pair slipping 0.76% to ₪2.9712 and trading near the low of the day. Intraday volatility stands at 0.62%. There is little evidence of sustained buying as the pair faces ongoing pressure after a soft open. The Awesome Oscillator (AO) also signals a sell, confirming the prevailing downtrend. Oscillator and momentum indicators are broadly aligned on the near-term bearish tone.

Earlier, analysts noted that USD/ILS was under persistent bearish momentum with sellers dominating the market. The current analysis further strengthens this view, highlighting that traders should monitor ₪2.9446 as a key support level, with a break below signaling increased downside risk in the near term.
