Highlights

  • CNY/PKR trades above short-, medium-, and long-term moving averages, confirming a bullish structure across all timeframes.
  • Momentum indicators are mostly positive, with MACD in strong buy territory, while ADX and Stochastic RSI remain neutral.
  • Projected 5-day range is PKR41.196 to PKR41.645, with a 79% probability of an upward move and baseline consolidation near PKR41.42.
Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes that CNY/PKR remains supported by a clear bullish structure across multiple timeframes. However, he sees the lack of news as a limiting factor for sustained momentum and warns that current upward moves are modest. The market’s technicals are constructive, but momentum indicators offer conflicting signals, which could leave the pair vulnerable on disappointment. Kharitonov highlights that a decline below PKR41.321 would threaten the current trajectory and expose downside risk. "If volatility picks up and price slips below key supports, buyers may quickly lose control," he states.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, emphasizes that the bullish structure in CNY/PKR remains intact. Positive momentum and the alignment above major moving averages point to further growth potential. With a 79% probability of an upward move and buyers in control, he views the outlook as attractive for bulls. Karapetjanc adds that a break above PKR41.493 could accelerate gains toward PKR41.645. "I expect buyers to capitalize on favorable technicals and push the pair higher this week," he says.
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, remains cautious despite mild strength in CNY/PKR. He observes that intraday volatility is low and momentum signals are mixed, leaving the move vulnerable. The absence of news removes a potential catalyst for further gains. "Without new drivers, I remain unconvinced buyers can sustain the advance above PKR41.493," Dele warns.

Bullish structure confirmed as mixed momentum signals drive steady tone

CNY/PKR trades above the 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages (PKR41.321, PKR41.212, and PKR40.899, respectively), confirming bullish short-, medium-, and long-term structure. The nearest support sits at PKR41.321, with the nearest ceiling marked by the intraday high at PKR41.493, and the Ichimoku Kijun (PKR41.234) acts as an additional support. Momentum signals are constructive, with Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) in strong buy territory, while the Average Directional Index (ADX) is neutral, suggesting a trend that is present but not dominant. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 57, signaling light bullish momentum without overbought risk, and the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) registers a buy signal. Bull/Bear Power (BBP) is strongly positive, showing buyers dominate intraday momentum. The Stochastic RSI is neutral, and Awesome Oscillator is flat, indicating a moderate momentum environment with some signals in conflict. Earlier, analysts noted that CNY/PKR was exhibiting a consolidative pattern with downside risks prevailing amid subdued momentum. The current shift to above-average moving averages and more constructive technical signals suggests traders should now monitor for a potential breakout above PKR41.493 as an inflection point for further gains.
