  • USD/ILS trades below short- and medium-term moving averages but remains above the long-term average, indicating short-term weakness and ongoing long-term support.
  • Price is at ₪3.039, down 0.54% on the day, with volatility remaining moderate near the session low.
  • Technical signals remain mixed but downside probability is high, with an expected range of ₪3.0167 to ₪3.0613 over the next 2 to 3 days.

Mixed momentum persists as support holds and resistance firms

Recent price action places USD/ILS below both the MA-20 and MA-50, while the MA-200 remains supportive underneath. The Ichimoku Kijun level at ₪3.0462 stands out as the immediate resistance. Oscillators display a mixed profile: MACD and ADX signal persistent selling strength, Stoch RSI points toward emerging buyer interest, and RSI continues to read as a sell. CCI sits at a neutral level, with Bull/Bear Power highlighting the involvement of buyers despite the prevailing downside bias.

Downside risk intensifies as breakouts threaten established range

In the immediate 2–3 day outlook, the expected price range for USD/ILS is ₪3.0167 to ₪3.0613 based on typical volatility. Upside prospects are considered very limited, while the probability of continued decline is high. The base case assumes the pair stays contained within this corridor. A break above the Kijun level could set off a move toward the upper end of this range, while a decisive move under support may trigger another leg lower.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, analyst at Traders Union, notes that USD/ILS remains under short- and medium-term pressure, trading below key moving averages but retaining support from longer trends. He sees technical signals as mixed, with buyers starting to stir but overall downside still dominant in the short run. The analyst emphasizes that upside is limited so long as the pair holds below the Ichimoku Kijun at ₪3.0462, with continued declines more likely unless broken. "I see the current structure as favoring further weakness unless buyers manage to reclaim control above key resistance levels," he says.

Earlier, analysts noted that USD/ILS was exhibiting broad-based bullish technical signals despite some mixed readings among oscillators. The current pullback below short- and medium-term moving averages signals a shift in momentum, making the Kijun resistance at ₪3.0462 a pivotal level to watch for any potential reversal or further downside.
