Transaction structure and rating basis

As reported by KBRA, the agency assigns preliminary ratings to five classes of notes to be issued by Reach ABS Trust 2026-3, an unsecured consumer loan asset-backed securities transaction. Credit enhancement for the deal consists of overcollateralization, subordination of junior note classes, except for the Class E notes, a cash reserve account funded at closing, and excess spread.

The issuance totals approximately $440.0 million and is collateralized by a trust certificate backed by unsecured consumer loans. KBRA says it applies its Consumer Loan ABS Global Rating Methodology and its Global Structured Finance Counterparty Methodology in reviewing the portfolio pool data, underlying collateral pool and capital structure.

KBRA also considers its operational reviews of Reach and periodic update calls with the company as part of the analysis. The agency says operative agreements and legal opinions will be reviewed before closing.

Reach's funding activity and market position

This transaction represents Reach Financial LLC's third term ABS securitization in 2026 and its thirteenth overall, indicating continued use of the securitization market as a funding channel. The company operates as an independent consumer finance platform and was founded in New York in 2015.

Reach shares common ownership with National Debt Relief, LLC, with NDR owners holding the majority of Reach and the remaining equity interest distributed among Reach's management team and key employees. Reach is also the only lending platform used by NDR, linking the transaction to a broader debt relief and consumer finance ecosystem.

The company previously operated as Liberty Lending LLC and rebranded to Reach Financial, LLC in May 2022. The latest preliminary ratings support another issuance in a year when the company is already active in the ABS market.

KBRA’s preliminary ratings on the Barings Equipment Finance LLC 2026-B equipment ABS outlined a $1.01 billion securitization backed by equipment lease and loan contracts sponsored by MassMutual Asset Finance LLC. We noted how the ratings analysis centered on the collateral profile and concentration risks, alongside structural protections such as overcollateralization, subordination, a reserve account and excess spread.
