Jeff Morris Jr. has raised concerns about the challenges crypto teams face in retaining early adopters. According to Morris, 99% of these initial users were primarily engaged in airdrop farming—a practice where users participate mainly to receive free token distributions.
He notes that many crypto projects struggled to acknowledge this issue during fundraising, resulting in a steep decline in user retention across almost all projects. Despite this setback, Morris maintains that airdrops can still be effective if better executed.
