Kalshi perps could surpass prediction markets in attracting mainstream users, Kyle Samani argues
Kalshi perps set to lead user growth

Kyle Samani contrasts the technical and user acquisition challenges between prediction markets and perpetual futures in crypto. He notes that while prediction markets may be easier to build from an infrastructure perspective, it is much harder to bootstrap liquidity and attract mainstream users for these platforms. Samani asserts that Kalshi-style perpetuals are likely to gain significant traction and outperform traditional prediction markets.

Samani has previously discussed issues around infrastructure and transparency in crypto trading. He previewed a debate with DRW’s Don Wilson on payment for order flow, maximal extractable value, and on-chain confidentiality. In a separate note, Samani highlighted 100 million x402 transactions totaling $30 million in payments volume.
