Richard Teng, CEO at Binance, cautions users about the risks associated with API keys granting full account access without triggering login alerts.

Teng shares a checklist for secure API key management, including never sharing keys, whitelisting IP addresses, disabling withdrawals, regularly deleting unused keys, and using separate keys for different functions. He notes that scammers target accounts by exploiting weak API key hygiene.

Teng has previously highlighted the rapid pace of activity in crypto markets, noting that institutional OTC crypto volume reached 25 percent of last year's total in just two months of 2026. He has also emphasized the role of collaboration among builders, traders, educators, and regulators in creating a more inclusive crypto ecosystem, according to a recent commentary.
